Journal of Engineering Researcher and Lecturer Refines Its Scope to Engineering Starting in 2026
The Journal of Engineering Researcher and Lecturer is pleased to announce that, effective for all manuscripts submitted on or after January 1, 2026, the journal will exclusively publish research within the field of Engineering.
Since its establishment, Journal of Engineering Researcher and Lecturer has welcomed scholarly contributions in both Engineering and Engineering Education. Following a comprehensive evaluation of the journal's editorial direction, publication trends, and long-term development strategy, the Editorial Board has decided to refine the journal's scope to focus exclusively on Engineering. Consequently, Engineering Education is no longer included within the journal's scope.
This refinement is intended to strengthen the journal's academic identity, improve the consistency of its published content, and enhance its contribution to the global engineering research community. A clearly defined disciplinary focus supports a more rigorous peer-review process, promotes stronger scientific coherence among published articles, improves citation relevance, and aligns the journal with international publishing standards adopted by leading engineering journals and indexing databases.
Accordingly, manuscripts primarily focused on Engineering Education—including teaching and learning methodologies, curriculum development, educational technology, pedagogical innovation, student assessment, learning media, or other education-related topics—will no longer be considered for publication. The journal will only consider manuscripts that make substantial contributions to engineering science, engineering design, engineering systems, technological innovation, industrial applications, and related engineering fields.
Beginning in 2026, Journal of Engineering Researcher and Lecturerwelcomes high-quality submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:
